Usage

The multiple choice question works best for situations where you want to allow respondents choosing more answers to one question. Such given answers will only tell you which responses were chosen by respondents, but not their importance.

Warning: Do not use this question type in the case when the respondent should choose only one option! For example - Gender selection: Woman OR Man.

Analyzing results

Frequencies in both relative and absolute values (percentages or number of occurrences) can be evaluated. Just be careful about the basis of the calculation. The number of answers is not equal to the number of respondents  because everyone can choose more answers. Thus, the resulting percentage of answers can exceed 100%.

Graph

ONLY column graphs can be used to visualize results. Pie charts can definitely not be used because the number of answers is not equal to the number of respondents and the total sum is more than 100%.

Options & Settings

  • Show the answers (option) in a row, in a column or in a drop-down menu.
  • Add an image or video to the question.
  • Add an option for the respondent's own response ("Other" answer).
  • Obligatory/optional question
