In case you need to, or want to change the e-mail address you use to log in with, you need to contact customer support.

There are usually two different scenarios where it is necessary to change a username:

  1. Due to a spelling mistake when you registered

  2. Due to a colleague quitting their job or working on other projects

For the first scenario, all you need to do is to send us a message. Always include an URL to one of your surveys as this helps us locate your account quicker

If you suspect you made a typo, such as typing in “gamil” instead of “gmail”, or forgot a letter, we’ll fix this issue for you in a few moments.

Your password will not be changed!

In case you are assuming ownership of a survey after one of your colleagues, or vice versa, we require some more information.

Example:

John has been working on a company survey, but is promoted. Paul is given the responsibility of the company survey, and messages Survio to ask if we can change the username.

In this case we need both John and Paul to send an email that confirms that we can change the username from john@company.com to paul@company.com

The reason for this is to ensure that the account is handed over to the correct person. It might seem a bit over the top, but we value the safety of your collected data.

To summarise:

If you’ve made a common typing mistake, all you need to do is to send us a message that includes the URL of one of your surveys.

If you need to change the username because you are handing the survey over to someone else, we need confirmation from both persons.
